Automation in the hydraulic and hydroelectric sector
Hydraulic installations play a fundamental role in multiple sectors, such as the hydroelectric power production, water waste management, and potable water supply.
At SIAPI Automation, automation in the hydraulic and hydroelectric sector has been a key aspect in our technological development and takeoff. Since 1994, we have been working on industrial automation projects for the control and automation of all types of hydraulic valves, as well as the management of the electrical energy generated in hydroelectric power plants, pumping stations, water supply plants, wastewater treatment plants, and industrial irrigation plans.
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, we are experts in developing automation solutions for the hydraulic and hydroelectric sector. We have developed projects involving different types of industrial valves, such as:
-
Butterfly valves.
-
Ball valves.
-
Hollow jet valves.
-
Bottom valves.
-
Needle valves.
-
Gate valves.
-
Check valves.
-
Turbine protection valves.
-
Valves with or without bypass.
-
Header valves.
Our services in the hydraulic and hydroelectric sector include:
-
Control cabinets.
-
Terminal boxes.
-
Electrical installation.
-
Hydraulic systems and power units.
-
Hydraulic installation.
We always adapt to the maneuvering needs required in each project, whether it is through hydraulic power, filtration units or electrical servo motors.
We have developed this type of projects for renowned electrical companies, both nationally and internationally, in Europe, Latin America, and Africa.

Electrical control cabinet for a header butterfly valve, with overspeed safety detection and hydraulic power management in a hydroelectric power plant.
Electrical control cabinet for 3 ball valves with movable seats, bypass and hydraulic power management in a hydroelectric power plant.
Installation and commissioning of hollow jet valve in the bottom outlet of a dam, controlled by a PLC and AUMA actuator. The system takes the valve opening percentage and the water column height values as reference to determine the ecological flow rate according to the enviromental regulations.
Replacement of three butterfly valves and three needle valves with bypass in a hydroelectric power plant. Control of the new valves integrated into a single electrical control cabinet with remote connection to the central control panel.
